Ribble Valley MP Nigel Evans has today welcomed plans announced by the Business Secretary Sajid Javid that an Enterprise Bill will be put to Parliament to cut £10 billion of red tape over the next five years and boost British business.
Mr Javid is to announce that the Bill will take a central role in the Queen’s Speech and will also announce the formation for a small business reconciliation service, to settle disputes between small and large firms.
Speaking from Westminster this morning Mr Evans said,
“There has been an astonishing 760,000 new businesses since 2010 and the announcement by the Business Secretary today will help that success continue. In the Ribble Valley we have some fantastic small, medium and large businesses who are the engine of jobs and growth in our region.
We have the Lancashire Enterprise Zone at Samlesbury, which will continue a brand new state-of-the-art £15.6 million training centre for the next generation of BAE workers, which must be welcomed
I want to see the heavy hand of regulation off the backs of business and today’s announcement by Sajid Javid will help achieve this.”
