Nigel has today spoken out against a change of use application for the Black Bull in Rimington to a residential property, a move that will condemn the only pub in the village of Rimington.
Speaking from the Ribble Valley this morning Mr Evans said, “The Black Bull is a vitally important community asset, the only pub in the village, and while it is a shame that it is not currently in use a change of use of the building would remove it forever. I know that CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale, have concerns over this application and I am firmly of the belief that this vital asset should be preserved for the good of the community. A local pub can be right at the centre of rural communities and provide a social function as well as local employment.”
