Nigel Evans, Member of Parliament for the Ribble Valley and Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons, has today praised the Conservative led Lancashire County Council for delivering a 2% cut in resident’s Council Tax.
Mr Evans said:
“I would like to congratulate Lancashire County Council on its cut of 2% in Council Tax for 2013/14. It is a decision that shows that the Council are in touch with residents’ needs and it is an incredibly welcome move.
“This 2% cut comes after the Council have frozen Council Tax in each of the last three years and as a direct consequence of this the average tax payer will have saved over £500. I am delighted that residents in the Ribble Valley and across Lancashire will benefit from this real cut in their household bills.”
