Several new apprenticeship schemes have recently opened up to young people in the North West with a huge number of positions on offer including at Electricity North West, The National Grid and BAE Systems.
Electricity North West has opened 45 new apprenticeship positions, with roles including overhead and underground jointing, cyber security, design engineers and vehicle maintenance technicians. There are also wider IT roles opening, including network engineers and testers along with a role in the telecommunications team.
BAE Systems has also recently announced a record-breaking new intake of apprentices with thousands of new roles available across the country including at Samlesbury in the Ribble Valley. The Company has more than doubled its early careers intake in the past five years, offering more young people than ever the prospect of exciting long-term careers supporting the nation’s armed forces and security services.
The National Grid also have a wide range of roles available based mostly out of their Nottinghamshire base.
